2012 Giant Revel 1

Giant's Revel 1 likes to tackle any terrain. It handles trails, paths and roads with a light, competition-inspired aluminum frame for comfort and responsiveness. The bump-absorbing suspension fork has 100mm of travel to help you sail over ruts, rocks and bad pavement, too. And, the Revel rolls on nimble aluminum wheels and great Giant knobby tires. You'll also love the easy-pedaling Shimano/SRAM 24-speed drivetrain, the supportive seat and the mechanical disc brakes.

    Comments:

I moved up from a mongoose to a Giant and am not disappointed. The bike is amazing. I use it to go to and from class and meets all of my expectations. It is a little heavier than I expected but not by much. It rides smooth on the road and I can't wait to take it off road. I would definitely recommend this bike to a friend.

    Comments:

I started riding about 6 months ago and this was the bike i chose to start on. It was a great choice. I like to ride single trak. I would only change 2 things on this bike. The seat is to small. I actually broke the seat 2 times before i upgraded. The tires dont have enough tread and are a little to thin for single trak. I had many many flats when i first started.

Bought the bike yesterday, went up to blue sky trail the day I bought it, rode like a champ, through the entire trail, and back, rock's are no problem, took the difficult path, only had to walk it twice, and it was on the sudden drops, perfect bike for your money.

      Comments:

I got this bike on May 20, 2012 and have only put about 80miles of dirt on it so far no complaints other than the weight. I am a big guy and needed a big durable bike and this is it. I have had this bike in almost all terrain and it climbs well and is nimble for a large frame bike. On very technical or rocky terrain it gets a bit bumpy since it isn't a full-suspension rig but overall it is a great ride.

        Comments:

Had a Walmart Bike but wanted quality and it got stolen anyway. I have a road bike but also wanted a mountain bike for the different feel. Bought July 8, 2012 so have not had a long time but just love the feel of the bike. Took a 6 mile ride with my son yesterday and loved the way it rides. Gears handle nicely and brakes stop on a dime. Now I have an entry level bike in both categories of bike.

Awesome Bike! I've taken this thing through some pretty rocky technical terrain, went down steps, everthing, and it works like a champ! Only thing was the shifters are a little awkward. Other then that little thing the bike is great for the money!

Great bike. It's the best mountain bike I've ever had. When I first got it, when I changed it to certain gear, it rubbed on a part of the bike. Overall, just about perfect.

I ride on the trails around the area and love this bike..I ride around the neighborhood too with my family. Great all around and love it. This was my forst real bike purchase..I mean other than a department store bike. Never had disc brakes they took getting used to. The seat is my only complaint...fixed that with shorts...
